Vaibhav is a Partner in the Firm's Mumbai office. Vaibhav is a transactional lawyer and advises clients on their investment and strategic decisions. He is dual qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and an advocate of the Supreme Court of India. He has experience of more than 11 years in London and Mumbai. Vaibhav is a recognised expert on cross-border and multi jurisdictional projects. He has a focus on matters relating to foreign direct investments in India and also advises Indian companies on the legal issues pertaining to their global investments including overseas acquisitions.
His experience has benefited the full range of commercial concerns from small business start-ups to multinational global conglomerates. His practice areas also include mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, private equity funds, commercial contracts, regulatory, financial services, real estate and information technology & outsourcing.
Vaibhav was previously based in London and was heading an international law firm's India desk. in London. Vaibhav handled several international transactions for conglomerates investing globally including in India, UK, Europe, China and Middle East. He has also been involved in several large cross-border acquisition deals. Vaibhav has advised Indian companies including large Indian financial institutions on investing and setting up business in the United Kingdom. Vaibhav has structured several India focused investments for large US and European private equity funds and advised on the structure of investment vehicle and routing of investment to increase tax and business efficiencies. Vaibhav has also advised several global companies including large BPO companies and financial institutions on multi-jurisdictional IT and business process outsourcing projects. Vaibhav relocated to India from London in April 2008.
Vaibhav has been a frequent speaker at international and national seminars and briefing sessions on doing business in India and contributes regularly to various international legal publications. His recent article on "Establishing a Joint Venture in India" was published by Practical Law Company, UK.
