Rajarshi is the Resident Partner in the firm’s Mumbai office. He is a corporate commercial lawyer with emphasis on transactional and regulatory work. His practice includes corporate finance & investments, joint ventures, cross-border acquisitions, divestments & restructuring, corporate governance issues and banking and commercial contracts. Rajarshi has negotiated, drafted and structured a wide range of business transaction documents on behalf of foreign investors.
Rajarshi has handled contentious issues before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts of various states and other judicial/quasi-judicial bodies on behalf of large public sector and private sector corporations. His litigation experience includes issues pertaining to complex commercial contracts and tenders, shareholders’ disputes, corporate restructuring, writ remedies, negligence/unfair practice claims and recovery proceeding.
Rajarshi has previously worked as an in-house counsel for a multi-national FMCG company, where he was involved in ensuring statutory compliance, tax structuring and negotiation with vendors.
Rajarshi frequently speaks at national and international conference in Indian law issues, with a focus on doing business in India.
