Janmejay is a Partner in the Firm. His practice areas include intellectual property, information technology, e-commerce, broadcasting/media, transfer of technology, joint ventures, cross border acquisitions and environmental law. He also advises on foreign exchange regulations, telecommunications, labour dispute resolution and general corporate laws. Janmejay has also represented several multinational companies and non-profit organisations in real-estate transactions and construction projects in India. This has included drafting and negotiating MoUs, project consultancy agreements, lease agreements and agreements with sub-contractors and advice on Indian laws relating to contracts, damages, arbitration, etc.
He has also conducted several corporate and operational due diligence into the affairs of Indian companies from an acquisition view point, including on-site review of documents and analysis to determine status of compliance with applicable laws, hidden or contingent potential liabilities for the companies and its officials and advise on corrective actions for minimization of liabilities, for software companies, ISPs, voice call centers and chemical manufacturing companies.
Janmejay's experience in dispute resolution includes drafting of original suits and petitions, interlocutory applications, criminal complaints, notices, etc, briefing senior counsel and appearing before the Delhi High Court as well as lower courts.
