Alok is a Partner in the Firm. He has extensive experience in representing various Indian as well as foreign companies, including real estate developers, on issues relating to real estate in India. His real estate experience includes advising on various aspects of acquisition of land, structuring the transaction and related documentation. He has also advised various multinational corporations (including Fortune 500 companies) in setting up their export oriented units in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and also under the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) scheme.
Alok has also advised various multinational corporations on issues pertaining business formation, company laws, exchange control & foreign investment laws, and employment laws.
Alok has advised companies on various issues relating to setting-up of retail outlets all over India based on self-owned and self-operated and/or franchisee model. He has also handled various transactions involving M & A and also private equity investments.
Alok has also advised various multinational banks & other financial institutions relating to setting up their operations in India, preparation of general guidelines regarding “Do’s & Don’ts while carrying on business in India”, drafting and vetting of various agreements such as loan agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements, business association agreements etc.
