Abhinav is a Partner in the New Delhi office, and heads the firm’s Ethics and Integrity, and Corporate Fraud Departments. Abhinav joined the firm having been practising as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom, where he worked extensively in the areas of Serious Crime, Corporate/Commercial Fraud, Clinical and Professional Negligence and Professional Standards work.
In the practice area of Corporate/Commercial Fraud, Abhinav has been involved in the advising of companies and individuals facing investigations from the various investigating and prosecuting authorities in the United Kingdom. In addition he provides advice to companies in the creation and implementation of internal Fraud Prevention measures, including Anti-Money Laundering provisions and fraud detection training for Indian companies, and Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies.
In the practice area of Ethics and Integrity, Abhinav provides advice to foreign companies and Indian subsidiaries of foreign companies in relation to their dealings with Indian Government departments and Indian government officials. This includes the creation of anti bribery and anti corruption policies for companies, and the carrying out of Ethics Compliance Audits.
Abhinav has carried out extensive work in the areas of Professional Standards and Clinical Negligence. He has regularly represented lawyers, accountants and doctors facing disciplinary action arising out of misconduct and professional malpractice allegations. In addition, he has advised and brought claims against hospital trusts and other professional bodies on behalf of individuals who have been the victims of malpractice and negligence. He has also assisted in the creation and updating of professional standards policies for companies.
